DIY troubleshooting

If you experience any issues with your stove or the Easy Connect Plus App, check out this Quick DIY Guide to help you quickly and easily resolve the issue yourself:

A paint smell is normal during the first use as the stove's materials and heat-resistant finish curing. Do this: set the stove to Power 5 for at least 2 hours and remember to ventilate the room well. The smell will decrease with each subsequent use and will eventually disappear completely.

These are all signs that the burn pot is clogged with ash or residue and needs to be cleaned. For routine cleaning, follow the instructions in the Quick Guide (the printed booklet that came in the box with your stove). If the brazier is worn, on the other hand, it must be replaced. You can contact your dealer or find the technician closest to you in this dedicated page.

In this page you will find a video tutorial with step-by-step instructions for configuring and managing the App. Alternatively, you can find the same information in the User Manual, which you can download by scanning the QR code under the tank lid of your stove. For your information, the User Manual can always be downloaded from the page of our website dedicated to your product, in the “Downloads” section. Find your pellet stove model here, and here if you have a wood-fired product.

Some alarms require simple interventions, for which it is not necessary to call a technician immediately. Here are some common issues you can resolve yourself:

  • DISPLAY ALERT A01
This alarm means the stove was unable to light the pellets. Here is what you can do: verify there are enough pellets in the hopper for ignition. Then, with the stove turned off, check the burn pot to ensure it is clean, seated correctly in its housing, and free of any build-up or unburnt pellets. If after these operations the panel still displays the A01 fault, other possible causes could be a blocked flue or a damaged ignition resistor. A service call from a technician.

  • DISPLAY ALERT A02
This alarm is triggered if the flame goes out unexpectedlyduring operation. Check that there are pellets in the tank.

  • DISPLAY ALERT A03 (Thermostat alarms)
This alarm is activated when the pellet tank temperature exceeds the expected safety threshold. The stove is programmed to turn off automatically. Here's what to do: wait for the cooling phase to finish, cancel the alarm, and turn the stove back on. Other things you can do: check that dust is not clogging the ventilation grille on the back of the stove and that the hot air outlet is not obstructed by objects (e.g. clotheslines and the like).

  • DISPLAY ALERT A05 (Pressure switch alarms)
This alert indicates an issue with the exhaust pressure switch. In some cases, a technician is needed (for example, if there are blockages in the flue pipe), but in others, a few simple steps are enough to turn off the alarm. Here's what you can do right away: check that the main stove door is closed and latched securely. Ensure the pellet hopper lid is also closed properly. Even adverse weather conditions, such as particularly strong winds, can slow down the smoke output and trigger the alarm.

  • SERVICE (Periodic maintenance notice - non-blocking)
When this flashing message appears when you turn the stove on, it means that 2000/2500 hours of operation have passed and it is time for non-routine maintenance. This operation is carried out by a specialised technician and should be done once a year or once a season, depending on use. Call the service centre to contact the technician and schedule non-routine maintenance.
